I have been either a Million or a Multi-Million Dollar Producer since becoming an active REALTOR^® in 1988, and was most recently named to the Leading Edge Society for 2003, 2004,

2006,2007, 2008 and 2009 and the President's Circle for 2005, both prestigious Prudential awards.

 

My background prior to real estate includes banking, bookkeeping, and office management. I also handled the marketing and public relations for International Galleries, representing well known sculptor Lincoln Fox. While a banker, I received numerous American Institute of Banking certificates.

 

I am proud to say I was honored with New Mexico's  REALTOR® of the Year Award in 2004 by the REALTORS® Association of New Mexico (RANM) at the group’s annual conference in Las Cruces.  This award is the highest honor presented by the REALTORS® Association of New Mexico (RANM). Instituted in 1952, the award honors a member annually who is involved in the community and has numerous business accomplishments.

 

I am a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and a Graduate of the REALTOR®  Institute (GRI). I have served on the Planning and Zoning Committee for the City of Ruidoso Downs.  I am a past Director of the Ruidoso Valley Chamber of Commerce, serving as Vice-President of Economic Development; a past Director and Treasurer of the Economic Development Corporation of Lincoln County; past President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, and Director of the Ruidoso Board of REALTORS® and was named Ruidoso's  REALTOR® of the Year in 1991. I also am a past Director for the REALTORS® Association of New Mexico (RANM) and was Chairman of RANM's State Convention held in Ruidoso in 1995.   I served as the 1999 president of the Stanley H. Mathis Foundation which is affiliated with the REALTORS® Association of New Mexico.  I also Chaired State Convention in the year 2000. I have  held the position of RANM's Southwest District Vice-President, encompassing territory covering Alamogordo, Las Cruces, Deming, Silver City and Truth or Consequences.  I served as RANM's 2000 Treasurer and President Elect for 2001. I served as RANM's 2002 President.  I am a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and have been made a Life Member in the National Register of Who's Who of Professionals in the Real Estate field.

 

My "real" enjoyment has been involvement in various community-based volunteer organizations and  charities such as St. Jude's Children's Hospital Bike-A-Thon, Ski Apache Disabled Skier's Association and the Ruidoso Little Theater. Gary and I have sponsored and coordinated Camp Enchantment which is a summer vacation for children with cancer from all over the state of New Mexico. I also coached boys' Little League Baseball for three years, and was one of the founders of the Women's Softball Association in Lincoln County.  We are very proud to be members and avid supporters of the Spencer Theater for the Performing Arts as well as the Hubbard Museum of the American West.  We adopted a mile stretch of Highway 48 (Mechem Drive) with aspirations of supporting the message to all locals and tourists to please "Respect Ruidoso."  I served as Treasurer for the Humane Society of Lincoln County from 2007 to 2010.  In 2008, RANM awarded me the "Good Neighbor Award" and gifted the Humane Society $1,000.

Among the things that I like to do are drive in the mountains exploring new territory, be on water...any water, play the piano and spend time with my two fur children (daschunds) Jetson (13) and baby Jasper (born March 25, 2002 - Guess he'll never be too old to be called "Baby"!!)

 

 

OH how I do love my boys! 

 

I am experienced in the marketing of homes, townhomes, condominiums, lots, acreages, commercial, multi-family, modular and mobiles, relocation and property management. I am very proud of our property management section which we started from scratch in 1989. We offer privately owned properties for rent nightly, weekly or monthly, as well as homes for rent long term.
